The successful saga of TRR Group of Institutions started with its establishment of TRR College of Engineering. It was established By Dr.T.Ram Mohan Reddy in the year 2002 at Patancheru mandal, Medak district. It is currently offering four undergraduate programmes in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronic and Information Technology.
The college was started funtioning in the year 2002 at a location in Patancheru in the suburbs of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh with a sprawling area of 123 acres with lush green.
Students are admitted into the four branches of Engineering and two Post Graduate under the following categories.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh allows admission of diploma holders into 2nd year under "lateral entry scheme" to the extent of 10% of intake to each of the branches on a supernumerary basis.
Jawahar Knowledge Centre, TRR College of Engineering is a JKC Star Institute, a novel initiative by IEG (Govt. of AP) to develop industry required soft skills amongst engineering students. Other engineering college students also get trained at TRR College of Engineering under star status.
PurpleLeap, Purpleleap has integrated into TRR College of Engineering. This programs provide specific skills set across organizational and domain expertise to make the candidate fit perfectly to a role in the industry.
The role of the Research & Development Cell is to enhance research and development activities that would enable TRR College of Engineering to attain the status of a renowned intellectual institution.
The Cell periodically reviews the research work carried out by the faculty, while emphasizing the importance of industry–institute interaction, and facilitates taking up project and consultancy work, which in turn, helps students in their training and placement,
Computer Science and Engineering Department organises a Two-days national level technical symposium in the name of TECHNOFIERE every year in the month of Feb-Mar. At the end of second day of fest, a cultural fest will also be conducted.[1]
